"LOVE"... Simply Create Too (DT) #124

Heyloo Hello! How is everyone doing? I'm here with my very first DT post for Simply Create Too, challenge #124. Our theme for this month is: 'Love'; with this being the month of love, ofcourse! So be sure to drop by the blog and participate with your beautiful creations :)!

For my project, I've created a beautiful 'LOVE' album; from scratch! That's right! All the stylised letters that you see here, have been created and 'carved' by me. And I've beautifully created every letter front and back, with a lot of elegant embellishments.

There is enough space for writing kewt and sweet notes; and to stick about 15-18 pictures with a lot of pockets to store more photos.

All can be seen in the subsequent photos.

The back of the letter 'L' (with sweet spaces and tabs for writing kewt notes - the butterfly flap opens up!).
And the front of the letter 'O' (with a kewt pocket and a tag for writing).

The back of the letter 'O' (space could be utilised for writing messages).
And the front of the letter 'V' (kewt pocket with photo mats for sticking small photos).

The back of the letter 'V' (with a translucent vellum flap to stick photos - only so that beautiful green design paper beneath is not hidden).

The front of the letter 'E' (has a waterfall tab thingy for sticking multiple 4x6 photos one after the other - front and back).

The back of the letter 'E' (has a kewl translucent vellum pocket that stores 3 photo mats on which you can stick 4x6 photos - front and back. You can also store more photos in the pocket if you like).

The last slide is an added feature. I found stopping at 'E' very abrupt. So you've got 1 more pocket with lots of photo mats where you can stick 4x6 photos and store more extra photos if you like.

The back of the last slide (has a translucent vellum paper on which you can stick a 4x6 photo).

If you'd like to buy this beautiful handmade album for your loved ones:

Fedora love... Inspiration Destination Challenge No. 102

Heyloo everyone. This week I have a special card to share. One that I made for my mom's birthday. It's also a part of the latest challenge over at Inspiration Destination blog (Challenge #102). The image that I've used here is the Fedora digi stamp provided by our sponsor this week Rick St. Dennis.  I just LOVE his digi stamps. And I completely love this one!!! So elegant and beautiful! Had so much fun colouring the image with my Spectrum Aqua markers.

Thanks for dropping by and I appreciate your comments.

Tooth Fairy: make a wish... Inspiration Destination Challenge No. 99

My DT post for this week at Inspiration Destination is very special. Our sponsor this week is Cute As A Button and I've used their pretty Tooth Fairy stamp which can be found here

I've made this kewt folder for my niece's 11th birthday and I hope she likes it. She loves fantasy and fairies; and this stamp seemed perfect for her.

I've used a lot of different colouring products for the stamp (colour pencils, distress inks and Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals); and LOTS of different coloured glitter.

Love how LSG magicals glitter when the light hits them.

For the inside, I've customised her name on the pocket, with a few tags. On the right, there are 5 pockets with tags (accordion style) and lots of journalling space on the flip side. At the bottom, there's a vellum pocket with a kewt miniature handmade vellum diary.

Thanks for dropping by and I would love to know what you think.

It's 'Planner' Time...!

Heyloo. I'm so excited to share this week's DT project for Inspiration Destination Challenge #98. I've never worked with cutting files, so I was quite enthusiastic this time; with our sponsor being The Cutting Cafe

My project for this week is the 2016 Planner which you can find here. Oh they've got fab projects and cutting files! Absolutely in love with their planners! And I'm happy the way mine turned out.

(Pics best viewed in full screen.)

There are many different tabs and planner pages (which come with the planner pack) like contacts, calendar, months, dates and space for making notes, to-do lists, blank pages, notes, shopping lists, weekly menu/dinner and so much more.

I've added a kewt pen holder to keep a pen handy at all times. On the inside, I've added a vellum pocket to provide a translucent cover for storing various loose things in it, for easier visibility.

Thank you for stopping by and I would love to hear what you think about my project.

Spring Bouquet... Inspiration Destination #97

Heyloo! I'm back with a new and exciting DT project for Inspiration Destination Challenge #97

This week, I've worked on Vellum! I love Vellum! Ever since my jewellery designing days when we had to design on it! I always loved the translucency and the classy feel it possessed. I used to print all colourful designs and stuff on it for fun (always intuitively wanting to do something more with it but back then, I did not know anything about crafting).

So imagine my delight when I finally knew how I could put my vellum sheets to not just good, but fantastic use!

So without further ado, I'll get on with my yummy project for this week, I love flowers and I love colours. My stamp for this week is Spring Bouquet by Just Inklined. And instead of using such a beautiful stamp on a card, I wanted to lend it a bit more personality. I present to you my floral home decor which can be put up as a wall hanging or a table decor.

(Pics best viewed in full screen.)

It was so much fun colouring on vellum with my Spectrum Aqua markers (I just love these! colouring with them is just so much fun), albeit I should tell you that colouring on vellum with water colours requires a lot of efforts than colouring on a cardstock. But it was totally worth it! Especially with the raised and a little wrinkly effect that it lent to my project. To contrast that, I've added a circular layer of crackle glaze between the two pearl lines and coloured it brown.

Hope you liked my project and I would love it if you could leave some feedback and let me know how I've done.

Our sponsor for this week's challenge on Inspiration Destination is Just Inklined. Hop on over to the challenge blog to check out what fabulous projects the DT has churned out this week.

All Dressed Up for Christmas - Inspiration Destination #96

Hello everyone. My DT post this week at the fabulous Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog is now live. Hop on over to check out what other DT members have created this week.

Our sponsor for this week is All Dressed Up.

The stamp I'm using is: All Dressed Up for Christmas which you can find here.

I've coloured the image with my Spectrum Aqua markers (I just love 'em!) and fussy cut it. And since it's a Christmas stamp, I've added loads of glitter to the fairy wings, the gift ribbons and blobs of colourful glitter to the Christmas tree and stars. I've layered the image with Christmas-y stuff (pattern papers and message).

(Pic best viewed in full screen.)

Hope you guys like it and I would love to hear what you think.

Floral paper box

So my new project is inspired by Dr. Sonia's Quilled Box. I wanted to try this style out since some time now and found the perfect opportunity to do so.

I browsed through the tutorial and tweaked it according to my style. I used chipboard instead of cardboard, used pattern papers and wrapping papers, tried to add drama with distress inks and thought of making a different type of closure for the box.

(Pics best viewed in full screen.)

My final box sees some stamping, some glitter drama, distress inked edges and contrast combinations of pattern papers.

Some of the sides have been inked using Distress Ink - Old paper.

While the lid's been inked with Distress Ink - Mustard Seed.

Because the paper pattern is so beautiful on its own, I kept my embellishments/decorations to the minimal for the sides of the box. I only added a handmade flower and leaf, with a heart stamped and glittered.

For the back side of the box I used a bold and simple idea of adding a photo mat with a kewt 'Love' stamp. For the photo mat and the inside paper, I've distressed it with Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers.

Because the outside of the box has so much going on, I decided to keep the insides simple and to a minimal to contrast with the outside drama. I used a neat blue wrapping paper, and contrasted it with pink borders in-between. I kept the boxes to a bare minimum and continued the theme by using all the papers on the small boxes that I used for the outside box. And finally, I added a kewt bow.

It was so much fun creating this project and I'm happy I was able to complete it before abandoning it lol.

Multi-way wall decor for Valentine's Day

So my latest project is for Valentine's Day. Bold colours, bold flowers, bold theme. It's a multi-way wall hanging that I designed but later on I thought that it could be used as a table decor as well, and that is so kewl. Multiple ways of displaying one decor.

So my base is mdf sheets and I decoupaged it, yet again, lol, to provide some texture. I coloured it, stamped on it, embellished it with flowers, chipboard pieces, letters, frames and what not. I made a pocket tag for the top black hanging, to write a message or stick a kewt lil photo. Hope you guys like it.

I really love the way this one looks on a table.

First attempt at card-making...

So well this is my very first attempt at card-making of such sorts. I mixed decoupage technique with watercolours for the background of this card. Utilised a gorgeous washi tape I had with a couple of stamps (watch plus veil).
For the watch, I did not try to get a perfect imprint of the stamp. I wanted an uneven, broken, stamp effect. I think that looks really kewl sometimes. The top watch is dark and bold, while the bottom one is kind of like an after-effect of the top. Also, I have stamped the watch in bits all over the card to maintain the theme.

Lastly, I painted a golden border to accentuate the central themes further more.

Some of my paintings up for sale...

Hey, these are some of my paintings. They are acrylic on canvas, original creations and gorgeously framed with back hinges.

(Pictures best viewed in full screen.)

"Waving Spirits"
A bright contrast between the colours brings out the theme well. It measures approximately 13.5 x 11.5 inches. The painting marks the free spirit and carefree nature of the trees and the air. Determined and living in their own world, the life in nature lives on. The black rustic frame has been chosen especially keeping the theme in mind. An original creation.

 "Violet Night"
This painting measures approx 10.75 x 9 inches. Swaying and dissipating, the clouds make everything hazy and they are the ones that make everything clear. The inspiration for this painting is the gorgeous sky that is a different mix of colours on different days. Some days blue, the other days orange, the next day pinkish, and on some rainy days, it's a gorgeous blend of deep purple and yellowish-orange. I tried to capture that feeling that I get when I see the marvelous colourful skies, with the moon hiding behind some of the clouds. An original creation.

 "Mystical Eyes"
This is my most favourite paintings of all. It uses a drip technique which I completely adore. It's a colourful play on intricacies and enigma. The background depicts how colourful our lives can be at times, how colourful the world can be. But the eyes see everything and there are many secrets that our eyes hide. The eyes witness everything, but don't disclose a thing. There's enigma, there's pain, there's happiness. Amidst a colourful world, we all have our blend of emotions that only we witness. It measures approximately 23 x 18.5 inches. And it is contrasted with a gorgeously textured copper frame to bring out the highlights of the painting. An original creation.

"Lost"
This is not my own creation. The original creation is by Amy Pearce. This is painted by me, however, from her tutorials. There's a gorgeous contrast between the autumn colours with the Birch/Aspen trees. A classy mix of colours. Supported by a spiffy, crisp frame that elevates the busy scene while not distracting from it. It measures approximately 20.5 x 16.5 inches.

The Dream Box...

I had a lot of fun creating this ornate little trinket box. I love decoupaging and I love flowers and that is what I played with in this box.
